-The CEO of Normal Motors (NYSE:)’ robot-taxi unit Cruise, Kyle Vogt, has resigned from the corporate a day after apologizing to employees as the corporate undergoes a security evaluate of its U.S. fleet.

Vogt, 38, supplied little in the best way of clarification, stating merely “I have resigned from my position,” in line with his e mail to employees seen by Reuters on Sunday.

“The last 10 years have been amazing, and I’m grateful to everyone who helped Cruise along the way,” he wrote within the e mail. 

Cruise this month pulled all of its autos from testing within the U.S. to conduct a security evaluate after an Oct. 2 accident that concerned one other automobile and ended up with considered one of Cruise’s self-driving taxis dragging a pedestrian.
