Can a divided EU have any meaningful policy on Gaza? | European Union

Member states are at odds, some supporting Israel and others opposing its battle towards Hamas in Gaza.

The Israel-Hamas battle has uncovered deep division inside the European Union on coverage in direction of Israel and Palestine.

The one unity discovered has been in condemning Hamas and its assaults on October 7 that killed round 1,200 Israelis.

However there’s been no such unity towards Israel’s killing of hundreds of Palestinians, most of whom had been girls and youngsters.

At one finish, Germany absolutely helps Israel – on the different, Belgium needs sanctions.

So, can EU coverage on Gaza even be outlined, when it’s so divided?

Is it successfully pro-Israel? And is that this battle altering positions?
