JENIN, West Financial institution (Reuters) – Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians, together with two minors and not less than one gunman, within the occupied West Financial institution late on Saturday and early Sunday, medics and native sources stated.
5 of the deaths occurred within the metropolis of Jenin, which the Israeli navy stated it raided to detain a Palestinian who’s suspected of involvement in a deadly West Financial institution ambush in August.
The navy didn’t instantly elaborate on the Jenin incident, which witnesses described as clashes between gunmen and troops.
The WAFA official Palestinian information company stated that Israeli forces stormed Jenin “from several directions, firing bullets and surrounding government hospitals and the headquarters of the Red Crescent Society”.
A sixth Palestinian fatality was in Yatma, a village close to Nablus metropolis, and one other was close to a Jewish settlement exterior the West Financial institution city of El Bireh, Palestinian officers stated. There was no rapid remark from Israel on these incidents.
Six different Palestinians had been injured in the course of the taking pictures in Jenin, the Palestinian well being ministry stated.
