RIYADH (Reuters) – The Pentagon stated it was conscious of experiences relating to assaults on an American warship and industrial vessels within the Purple Sea on Sunday, as Yemen’s Houthi group claimed drone and missile assaults on two Israeli vessels within the space.

“We’re aware of reports regarding attacks on the USS Carney and commercial vessels in the Red Sea and will provide information as it becomes available,” the Pentagon stated.

Yemen’s Houthi motion stated its navy had attacked two Israeli ships, Unity Explorer and Quantity 9, with an armed drone and a naval missile.

A spokesperson for the group’s army stated the 2 ships had been focused after they rejected warnings, with out elaborating.
